During the full-day
technical visit organized on 27 December 2022 in cooperation with Fenerbahçe
University Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Center and the
Service Promotion Unit of the Public Relations Directorate of Istanbul
Metropolitan Municipality, our international students studying at FBÜTÖMER had
the opportunity to become more closely acquainted with Turkish culture,
Istanbul, and Türkiye.
The participating
students and academics first visited the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality
Turkish World Cultural Quarter, where they examined cultural elements of
Turkish life and learned about the lifestyle of Turkish society. Following this
visit, the group proceeded to Miniatürk, where they viewed miniature models of
well-known landmarks and gained further information about these structures.
After lunch at Miniatürk,
the participants departed from Eminönü for a ferry tour of the Bosphorus and
became familiar with Istanbul’s Bosphorus coastline. Following the tour, which
concluded in Üsküdar, the group returned to the University.
