“FBÜTÖMER administers an examination consisting of reading, listening, writing, and speaking sections, prepared in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), to individuals who wish to certify their Turkish language proficiency. Certificates corresponding to individuals’ language proficiency levels are issued accordingly. Students/individuals wishing to obtain certification become entitled to receive a certificate signed by FBÜTÖMER according to the score they achieve on the examination.
The Turkish Proficiency Examination is administered in two different circumstances:
i.) Students studying at the Center may take the examination at the end of the fall semester (2nd module), at the end of the spring semester (4th module), or at the end of summer school/beginning of the fall semester, provided that they complete their Turkish language education with a minimum average score of 80 at the B1 level and a minimum average score of 70 at the B2 level.
ii.) Students enrolled in the University’s associate, undergraduate, and graduate programs who are unable to provide a valid language certificate may also take the examination.
The examination consists of a total of 145 minutes: 135 minutes for the first stage assessing reading, listening, and writing skills, and 10 minutes for the second stage assessing speaking skills. Examination results are announced through the Center’s website.
