Midterm Examination: The Midterm Examination is administered in the middle of the module and assesses the student’s/course participant’s vocabulary, grammar, reading, listening, and writing knowledge and skills. The examination date is included in the Center’s academic calendar. Information regarding the midterm examination is announced to students/course participants within the first week of the relevant module.
Final Examination: The Final Examination is administered at the end of the module and assesses the four fundamental language skills of the student/course participant: reading, listening, speaking, and writing. The examination date is included in the Center’s academic calendar. Information regarding the final examination is announced to students/course participants within the first week of the relevant module.
Quizzes: Quizzes are examinations administered within a module to assess vocabulary, grammar, reading, and/or writing skills. Information regarding quizzes is announced to students within the first week of the relevant module, and at least two quizzes are administered in each module. Changes may be made to the dates and/or number of quizzes by informing students at least two weeks in advance. Quiz dates are not included in the Center’s academic calendar, and make-up examinations are not administered for quizzes.
Make-up Examination: The Make-up Examination is administered to students/course participants who are unable to attend the midterm and/or final examination due to medical reports and/or valid excuses. Students/course participants whose excuses are approved by the Center may exercise their examination rights on the date specified in the Center’s academic calendar. The make-up examination for the midterm examination is administered before the final examination.
