A Strategic Plan
Preparation Meeting was held at FBÜTÖMER on 21 August 2026 to contribute to the
University’s strategic planning activities for the upcoming period.
The meeting was attended
by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Şükriye Güniz KÜÇÜKGÜZEL, Director of the Vocational
School of Health Services Prof. Dr. Arzu Kader HARMANCI SEREN, Deputy
Commission Coordinator Asst. Prof. Dr. Zeynep KABADAYI KUŞÇU, Head of the
Strategy and Quality Department Aynur ŞAFAK, Assistant Strategy and Quality
Specialist Esra CAN, as well as the academic and administrative staff of
FBÜTÖMER.
During the meeting, a SWOT
analysis was conducted as part of the strategic plan preparation process to
assess the University’s current situation. Participants shared their views on
identifying the University’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats
in order to contribute to its further development.
The meeting also included
discussions on priority actions to be undertaken in the short term (within 1
year), medium term (within 2–3 years), and long term (within 4–5 years). In
this context, key topics including institutional development, brand management
and corporate reputation, innovation, sustainable growth, digital
transformation, research and internationalization, student satisfaction and
campus experience, and stakeholder collaborations were comprehensively
addressed.
Participants also
exchanged views on the sustainable development of the University’s academic,
administrative, and institutional structure; the more effective integration of digitalization
and artificial intelligence applications into education, research, and
administrative processes; enhancing research capacity and international
visibility; improving the student experience; and strengthening collaborations
with public institutions, the private sector, alumni, and non-governmental
organizations.
The meeting concluded
following the exchange of participants’ views and suggestions regarding the
identification of the University’s strategic goals for the upcoming period and
the implementation of the strategic planning process through a participatory
approach.
