Dr. Egemen Ozan Sönmez,
Director of Fenerbahçe University Turkish Language Teaching Application and
Research Center, participated in the Accreditation Standards Update Workshop
organized by the Association for the Evaluation and Accreditation of Language
Learning and Preparatory Centers (DÖDAK).
The workshop, held in
Ankara on 15–16 May 2026, addressed the updating of accreditation standards,
their restructuring in accordance with the PDCA cycle, the evaluation of their
alignment with the ESG standards, and the development of revision proposals based
on feedback from field practices.
During the two-day
program, participants worked on rewriting the existing standards, developing
evidence-based revision proposals, and evaluating the final revisions in
sessions conducted with the guidance of moderators and rapporteurs.
Dr. Egemen Ozan Sönmez,
who also serves as a DÖDAK evaluator candidate, participated in the workshop,
demonstrating the importance that Fenerbahçe University Turkish Language
Teaching Application and Research Center attaches to quality assurance, accreditation
processes, and the development of standards in Turkish language teaching.
