Students of Fenerbahçe
University Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Center (FBÜTÖMER)
had the opportunity to discover the unique beauty of the Bosphorus during the
Valide Sultan boat tour held on 18 November 2025. The event brought together 85
participants, including students, the Director of the Center, and FBÜTÖMER
academic staff.
The trip was organized as
part of FBÜTÖMER’s orientation-themed social integration activities for new
students. It aimed to provide students with an opportunity to get to know one
another while discovering Istanbul more closely.
During the event,
students learned about Istanbul’s historical and cultural heritage and improved
their Turkish speaking skills in an enjoyable and natural setting. Throughout
the boat tour, some of Istanbul’s prominent landmarks were introduced, allowing
students to view the city from a different perspective.
As FBÜTÖMER, we will
continue to organize activities aimed at enriching students’ cultural
experiences and encouraging them to use Turkish in authentic contexts.
