Fenerbahçe University
Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Center (FBÜTÖMER) held its
first official meeting as part of the accreditation process. The meeting was
chaired by Lecturer Egemen Ozan Sönmez, Director of the Center, with the participation
of FBÜTÖMER’s academic and administrative staff.
During the meeting, the
accreditation process, which had officially commenced, was discussed
comprehensively. The roadmap to be followed throughout the process, the matters
requiring particular attention, and the Center’s strengths and areas for
improvement were reviewed. The participants exchanged views on the activities
required to ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
Responsibilities were
also assigned among FBÜTÖMER’s academic and administrative staff, and each
member’s areas of responsibility within the process were determined.
Assistant Professor
Jülide Erken, a member of FBÜTÖMER’s academic staff, shared information with
the Center based on the report she had prepared as part of the Second DÖDAK
Evaluator Training. Highlighting key aspects of accreditation processes in her
report, Erken emphasized the importance of strategic measures concerning
quality assurance, continuous improvement, and documentation throughout the
accreditation process.
The meeting was concluded
productively with the active participation and suggestions of the Center’s
staff. In line with its objective of providing education that meets high
quality standards, FBÜTÖMER will continue its accreditation activities with
determination.
