The Second Evaluator
Training Workshop, organized by the Association for the Evaluation and
Accreditation of Language Learning and Preparatory Centers (DÖDAK) on 28–29
June 2025, was held through online sessions. Assistant Professor Jülide Erken
participated in the two-day workshop on behalf of Fenerbahçe University Turkish
Language Teaching Application and Research Center (FBÜTÖMER).
During the workshop,
criteria included in self-evaluation reports, such as “Mission,” “Management
and Organization,” “Language Teaching Processes,” “Infrastructure and
Facilities,” “Student Support and Services,” and “Continuous
Improvement,” were discussed in detail by experts in the field. The
sessions focused on report writing, evidence-based approaches, scenario-based
examples, and institutional evaluation principles. Evaluator candidates were
informed about the key points to consider during the evaluation process, and
sample practices concerning situations that may arise during field evaluations
were also shared.
The workshop supported
FBÜTÖMER’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its institutional competence in
evaluation and accreditation processes.
