Lecturer İlayda Özkaya, a
member of the academic staff of Fenerbahçe University Turkish Language Teaching
Application and Research Center (FBÜTÖMER), represented the institution by
participating in the “Workshop on Teaching Turkish to Foreigners,”
organized by Cezeri Schools on 24 May 2025.
During the workshop,
current developments in the field of teaching Turkish as a foreign language
were discussed. Presentations and evaluations covered a wide range of topics,
including the history of Turkish language learning in Europe, language education
in the age of artificial intelligence, assessment and evaluation practices, and
the TUTOR-supported learning model.
The panel session also
addressed the topic of “Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language at an Early
Age.”

TÖMER stated that, by actively participating in such scientific events, it aims
to contribute to academic studies in the field of teaching Turkish as a foreign
language and strengthen institutional cooperation.
