The event titled “Standards
and Accreditation Studies for Turkish Preparatory Centers: The DÖDAK Example,”
organized by Fenerbahçe University Turkish Language Teaching Application and
Research Center (FBÜTÖMER), was held online via Microsoft Teams on 28 May 2025.
Prof. Dr. Nezir TEMUR, Chair of the Executive Board of the Association for the
Evaluation and Accreditation of Language Learning and Preparatory Centers
(DÖDAK), participated in the event as the guest speaker.
The event was moderated
by Lecturer Egemen Ozan SÖNMEZ, Director of the Center, while the opening
address was delivered by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Yıldırım ÜÇTUĞ, Vice Rector of
Fenerbahçe University.
Prof. Dr. Nezir TEMUR
provided the participants with comprehensive information on the establishment
of DÖDAK, its ongoing activities, and the accreditation initiatives carried out
in the field of Turkish language teaching. In his presentation, he addressed
key issues concerning quality assurance and the establishment of standards at
centers teaching Turkish in Türkiye.
The event was attended by
approximately 100 participants, including academics and administrative staff
from university Turkish language teaching centers, as well as experts working
in the field of language education. Participants had the opportunity to learn
about DÖDAK’s role, evaluation criteria, application process, and the stages of
institutional preparation.
FBÜTÖMER stated that,
through such events, it aims to strengthen quality standards in teaching
Turkish as a foreign language and enhance cooperation among institutions.
