Academics from Fenerbahçe
University Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Center (FBÜTÖMER)
participated in the panel titled “Internationalization in Education: The
Future of Turkish,” held as part of the 10th Eurasian Higher Education
Summit (EURIE).
The panel, held at the
Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar International Convention and Exhibition Center on 9 April
2025, featured prominent experts in the field, including Prof. Dr. Fatma
Bölükbaş Kaya, Head of the Turkish Language Education and Teaching Branch of the
Turkish Language Association and a member of its Scientific Board; Assistant
Professor Mehmet Yalçın Yılmaz, Director of Istanbul University DİLMER; and
Associate Professor Emrah Boylu, Head of the Education Department at the Yunus
Emre Institute.

TÖMER academics attended the event as audience members and had the opportunity
to follow current approaches to the internationalization of Turkish and engage
with experts in the field. FBÜTÖMER’s participation in the event took place
upon the special invitation of Istanbul Aydın University TÖMER.
Fenerbahçe University was
also represented with a stand in the exhibition area. The stand was hosted by
Mustafa Kemal YEĞEN, Director of International Relations, and Açelya SUNGUR,
Erasmus+ Incoming and Outgoing Student Mobility Specialist. The stand welcomed
numerous visitors and provided an opportunity for productive meetings and
exchanges of ideas.
Lecturer Egemen Ozan
Sönmez, Director of FBÜTÖMER, emphasized the importance of participating in
events that support academic development and international cooperation, stating
that increasing the Center’s visibility in similar activities is among its institutional
objectives
