Fenerbahçe University
Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Center (FBUTOMER)
is establishing an Instructor Candidate Pool to meet potential
instructor needs that may arise within the scope of its educational and
teaching activities.
Applications will be
accepted from candidates who wish to work in the field of Teaching Turkish as a
Foreign Language and who meet the qualifications specified below. Following the
evaluation process, eligible candidates will be included in the FBUTOMER
Instructor Candidate Pool. When a need arises during academic terms,
candidates may be contacted and appointed as hourly-paid instructors.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED OF CANDIDATES
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Candidates must submit
the application documents listed below electronically to tomer@fbu.edu.tr by 5:00 PM on
September 16, 2026.
Candidates are
responsible for ensuring that all required application documents are submitted
in full. Applications submitted with missing documents or after the application
deadline will not be considered.
The subject line of the
application e-mail must be written as follows:
“FBUTOMER Instructor
Candidate Pool Application – Full Name”
REQUIRED APPLICATION
DOCUMENTS
1. Application
petition/letter bearing a handwritten signature and including contact
information,
2. An
up-to-date CV/resume with a photograph,
3. Bachelor’s
degree diploma or graduation certificate obtained through the e-Government
(e-Devlet) system,
4. Master’s
and/or doctoral degree diploma or graduation certificate obtained through the
e-Government (e-Devlet) system,
5. Certificate
in Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language / Teaching Turkish to Foreigners
(This document is not required from candidates who hold a master’s or
doctoral degree in Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language / Teaching Turkish to
Foreigners.)
6. Criminal
record certificate,
7. Documents
verifying professional experience in the field of Teaching Turkish as a Foreign
Language,
8. Certificate
of residence/address registration obtained through the e-Government (e-Devlet)
system.
EVALUATION AND INCLUSION
IN THE INSTRUCTOR CANDIDATE POOL
Applications will be
subject to a preliminary evaluation based on whether candidates meet the
qualifications stated in the announcement and on the documents submitted.
Following the preliminary
evaluation, 10 (ten) eligible candidates will be invited to a written
and/or oral assessment.
Candidates who
successfully complete the evaluation process will be included in the FBUTOMER
Instructor Candidate Pool.
Inclusion in the
Instructor Candidate Pool does not grant candidates an automatic or
permanent right to appointment or employment. Appointments will be made
according to FBUTOMER’s periodic instructor needs, the programs offered,
teaching schedules, and the candidate’s expertise, experience, availability,
and suitability.
When a need arises,
candidates included in the Instructor Candidate Pool will be contacted, and
subject to mutual availability and agreement, they may be appointed as hourly-paid
instructors.
FBUTOMER reserves the
right to update the Instructor Candidate Pool and reassess the status of
candidates included in the pool in accordance with its educational planning and
institutional needs.
